Cosmetic Bonding

If you have a chipped, slightly misaligned, or otherwise imperfect tooth that needs cosmetic restoration, bonding may be a good option for you. Bonding material can be added to your existing teeth to improve the overall size and shape of your teeth or to close small spaces between your teeth that you may not be happy with. Bonding involves adding a custom-shaded composite resin to your tooth or teeth in order to rebuild or create a more pleasing shape to your tooth.

Bonding

After hardening the resin with a curing light, we will artistically sculpt and polish the restoration. In just one visit, you can enjoy a beautiful new smile! Cosmetic bonding can be a viable, affordable alternative to porcelain veneers, but the “brand-new” appearance or condition of the bonding may only last 5 to 10 years with proper care. If after several years you are no longer happy with the appearance of your bonding it can be re-done to restore that “brand new” look. Bonding will not discolor as your natural tooth enamel will, so touch-up teeth whitening may be required to keep your natural teeth the same shade as the bonded area. Also bonding may subject to marginal staining or chipping over the years that will need to be polished or touched up.
